I held my first ever art stream last night on Twitch. It was great practice and I came up with a couple of cool character designs, inspired by the chat. I decided to speed up the process for you, and focus on the art.
You can get a better look at the sketches from last night down below. The process I chose, started with sketching out a simple character like you see here.
It was a rather short hour and a half stream, that ended with some really strange final designs. At first, it was just random doodling from off the top of my head, but eventually the chat wanted to see their names brought to life.
One thing to take notice of though, is that through practice I was able to improve my abilities. These aren't necessarily good drawings, but the quality does improve as I move through each piece.
I didn't set out to create a masterpiece last night. I just wanted to hang out and draw. And I'm glad I did. It felt really good to dig back in to the creation process, and my best work is always when I am feeding off of the input of others.
There will definitely be many more art streams moving forward. I mean, I love drawing and animating just as much as I do gaming. So let me know what kinds of things you wanna see in the future.
