It's been 6 years since I released this video online. The project was a trailer I made to advertise my custom Warehouse from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, made in Skate 3's park editor. I even had the classic Goldfinger song Superman, from the original THPS.
I want you to understand something about this video. It means a lot to me. At this point in my life, I had no real video editing experience. I didn't have an HD PVR to record gameplay. I didn't even have a very good computer or know how to make a thumbnail.
But I had a creative spirit, and I was motivated. When Skate 3 launched with the focus of creating a team and leaving your mark on the world, I jumped at the chance. I got involved with the forums, and recruited others to join my team QuickThumb. (My first real gaming video ever released online)
I also spent many hours in Create-A-Park mode. The Skate series has always included the tools to record and then export your gameplay as well. So I decided to share my parks with the rest of the world.
Because of my love for the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series during my teen years, I knew I had to make the Warehouse. It's the perfect skate spot. It was so popular, that I started getting requests for other parks, some of which actually got made. (Roswell and School 2)
I'm still anxiously awaiting Skate 3's arrival on the Xbox One with backwards compatibility. You can bet all the money I made kick-flipping over Ollie the Magic Bum that when it's ready, I'm gonna dive back in.
