I hope the new year is treating you well. It's been good to me. I've recently starting playing Overwatch and enjoying it. I've also been pushing myself to draw more. In fact, I have challenged myself to draw at least something everyday.
I found myself away from my computer, with my sketch pad and Overwatch on the brain. That's when I drew this.
I basically looked at a reference of the Tracer character, and put my own spin on it. But I'm not too proud of it. And that's okay. Because I'm going to use this year as a way to push myself and really grow as an artist. Hopefully.
So I'm struggling with ideas of what to really draw. I'm a bit of a doodler, with a cartoonist type style. And I'm not exactly sure why I even drew what I did, but I did.
It's my friend Trevor with the body of a cooked chicken. Really weird. I still don't know why, but I did record the entire process.
I also want to be more active this year on some of my social media channels, so I posted it to Facebook, instead of Youtube.
(I may streamline this process, and switch to Youtube in the future though)
This one was a little harder to squeeze in. It was basically about 11:30 at night, and I had just gotten the baby to sleep. Time to draw.
I decided I wanted to draw the Game Grumps again, in another game style. And I went with Worms because I thought it wouldn't take as long to concept and finish.
And you know what? I am proud of this one. I know it's not perfect. The background is bland, there's no shading, and I don't really like the way their hair turned out.
But It's not that bad. And so far, it is actually my favorite drawing of the year so far. (Sorry Chicken Trevor)
And just like yesterday, I recorded that drawing as well. So there's that for you to enjoy if you want.
If you made it this far, thanks for sticking around. If you have suggestions for what else you would like to see me draw in the future, please leave me the feedback.
Tips, feedback, opinions, whatever. It's welcome too. Happy New Year, and talk to you tomorrow.
