Today I was thinking about the game Cuphead that is set to release this year. I've been wanting to try to draw the character in a funny way, and somehow came up with the idea to combine the characters with Pulp Fiction.
This is one of my most anticipated upcoming games. Cuphead has a distinct 1930's art style, has fantastic animation, and looks like tons of fun.
Cuphead also shoot lasers from his finger, and he has a partner named Mug Man. I knew that I needed an icon duo to help make this picture great.
I'm not even a huge fan of the movie Pulp Fiction. I've seen it, and it's good. But that's about as far as my opinion on it goes. But this was an iconic scene.
So I hope I did it justice. I simply sketched out the characters at first in Sketchbook Pro. Check it out here:
Then I brought that sketch over into Toon Boom and created the final characters. Here is the transparent png that I exported from TB Studio.
I then took those final characters over to Photoshop to add in the background and text. Because of this, and the fact that I was busier today with a Hauppauge Gaming stream, that's why I didn't record a video of the process.
But I hope you enjoyed it. Check out the trailer for Cuphead if you haven't seen it yet, and see Pulp Fiction too. (If you really want too...or don't.) But let me know what else you want to see me draw this year!
