Batgirl: A Matter of Family will be available to Season Pass owners for free on the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One starting this July 14th. If you are not a Season Pass owner, you can still get the addition as a standalone DLC pack for $6.99, but you will have to wait a week, until July 21st.
This is the first time players will be able to assume the role of Batgirl in the Arkhamverse. A Matter of Family is a prequel to the first entry, Batman Arkham Asylum, and has players in control of Barbara Gordon before she was paralyzed by The Joker, resulting in her Oracle alter ego.
There is said to be multiple solo missions available, as well as side quests and new challenging puzzles. There will even be a new hacking system in place, since that's kind of her thing. The Dual Play mechanics will also be present at some point, with Robin showing up to offer some support and unique takedowns.
Also, just to clarify, this is for the console versions right now. The PC version is still being fixed and should be available soon, most likely with DLC as well. If you are as excited as me for some more Arkham Knight content, let me know in the comments below.
Those of you that have already finished the campaign of Batman Arkham Knight, won't have to wait too long for additional content to make it's way into the game. Warner Bros. Interactive has just announced a release date and price for the DLC pack that arrives later this month.
